1975- The first picture
In the following pictures 4 sisters are connected by blood and history. Each picture reflects something different like emotion and expression of particular age. These ordinary pictures of the 4 sisters have made them extra ordinary. They started taking picture in 1975 and continued every year for 40 years.
At the age of 26, Nicholas Nixon began photographing the Brown sisters who are from USA. The sisters were asked to take photograph in every year and they all agreed. Nixon was the main man behind this wonderful story. According to Nixon "The world is infinitely more interesting than any of my opinions about it." In the Museum of Modern Art USA NY, there is an exhibition in the name of "Nicholas Nixon: Forty Years of The Brown Sisters" which will be continued until January 4, 2015.

The viewer is able to witness the aging process, moving from frame to frame of these four women. Nixon's photographic timeline oozes homesickness and that focused desire to travel back in time.
