No, they’re not wasting time in my opinion because we all know that we need entertainment in our life. Also, science says that every human needs some rest besides their work. If we spent more time in one work without any break or any free time our brain won’t work properly because they also need some rest. Now let’s talk about some side effects if children are including education activities at their free time. At first, we will talk about what science says then what we are doing. In a research says that children’s brain is strongest than others brain. They use their brain if and only if they find interesting things. Meanwhile, mostly brain use for entertainment. So, they don’t like to spend time with their books or boring purpose. They want to spend more time with other interesting things or entertainment.
On the other hand, many scientists say that “If you learn or achieve somethings that things need to be interesting”. Secondly, as a human being we need to refresh our mind because we need energy, if we always spend time in our work and don’t take any break, we will lose our energy and can’t focus on our work.
Now let’s talk about some benefits if children don’t include their free time in educational activities. At the beginning they don’t need to face books or educational things. Secondly, they can explore the real world by watching movies, cartoons, etc. In addition, they can travel historical places which is also related with educational activities. Furthermore, they can play outside which is good for health. Moreover, they can spend their time what they want which will refresh their mind and good for their bright future whereas, they will self-developed with precious time management. But they include their free time with their other educational activities they will lose many things.
We can say that, without including free time in educational activities is more beneficial conversely including free time in educational activities is less beneficial. So, if they spend their free times on other activities its not wasting of time.
